Summer is right around the corner, and it’s time to start planning how you and your family will be spending it.  Here are a few tips to help you get geared up:
Are you planning to take a vacation somewhere? If you haven’t already booked flights and/or accommodations, get to it right away! The longer you wait, the more expensive they will become, and the less likely you will be to find dates that will work with your family’s schedule.
Take inventory of each family member’s summer wardrobe. If you have children, chances are they’ve outgrown last year’s clothing and footwear. Start checking for sales. Many stores have early sales, and Memorial Day sales are coming soon.
To ensure you are comfortable during the hot weather, have the air conditioning units in your car and home serviced. There’s nothing worse than driving or sitting at home in 100+ degree temperatures with no air conditioning!
If you plan on registering your child for any type of sports or summer camp, look into registering them early. Many organizations offer a discount for early registration.
Pull out your summer equipment such as grills, patio sets, lawn mowers, etc. to make sure they are summer-ready. If something needs to be replaced, start looking for sales now.¬† If you‚Äôre on a budget and don‚Äôt mind used items, there tend to be a lot of community yard sales during the month of May where many items can be purchased for a fraction of the price of new.¬† Also, don’t forget to check out SargesList for new summer equipment!
Start planning now for a fun and relaxing summer!
