Tips on How to Use SargesList - It’s Easy!

You can now use our Facebook app to access SargesList.

How to Register

1. Click here to register!
2. Fill out registration form (make sure to click “agree to terms & conditions”)
3. Go to your email and find email to complete registration (if not in your inbox, check spam folder or better yet, put on your allow/white list)

How to Post Listings

1. Click on Login (in upper right hand corner of site)
2. Enter your username and password
3. Click “New Classified” link on left under Cart or on the top “Post a Free Listing” tab
4. Select the appropriate Category (example Housing, Vehicles)
5. Select a Subcategory (if applicable, example Homes for Sale)
6. Write a catchy Title and Description (required, include all the appropriate details)
7. Select Location US or OCONUS, then State, then base/post
8. Enter in price (required)
9. Add location information: city, state, and zip code (required) are needed. We recommend NEVER putting your address but listing cross-streets instead.
10. Add a website URL or YouTube code if you have one (make sure that the YouTube code is the EMBED code not the HTML embed code, instructions are in the help icon).
11. Click “Next Step”
12. Select up to five photos, Click “browse” to select from your computer files, select photo
13. Click “Upload” to complete photo download, you should see a small image of the photo
14. When finished adding photos, Click “continue” ( you can delete and move photos around when you’re done uploading)
15. The next page is for upgrades, select upgrade and eye catchers by clicking the appropriate box.
16. When done or if you don’t want any upgrades, click “Next Step”
17. You can preview your ad by clicking “preview”, and a new window will show your ad
18. If you are finished, click “Check Out”. ALL listings are free unless you have added more than 5 photos or have added upgrades.
19. You will then receive a “Complete Checkout” screen
20. You can see and edit your ads, as needed by clicking the “My Active Listings” link

Your listing will last for 30 days. Before your 30 days is up, you will get an email indicating that your listing is about to expire.

Edit Listings

1. Click on Login (in upper right hand corner of site)
2. Enter your username and password
3. Click the “My Active Listings”link or “My Inactive Listings”
4. Depending on what you want to do, you have options:
   1. Upgrade, hit Green PLUS upgrade button
   2. Edit, hit edit button (to add more photos, change details, category, etc.)
   3. Mark as sold, hit SOLD button
   4. Renew, hit Orange UP ARROW button

Once you renew your listing, you can enjoy free advertising for another 30 days.

If you have many listings and are interested in unlimited upgrades, view our subscriptions.

Search Listings

If you are searching for an item, you can use the Quick Search (blue bar in the WHAT and WHERE fields) or you can use the Advanced Search. The less keywords you use, the better your chances of finding the item you’re looking for.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can post a WANTED AD listing AND create a listing ALERT. Use the keyword (minimal) for the item you seek and when it’s added to the site, we’ll send you an email!

To create an alert, you must be registered.  Login and click on My Listing Alert Filters and click on New Filter.
