Our organization is recognizing¬†the third annual Military Consumer Protection Day along with government agencies, advocacy organizations and private sector groups by providing you with information about what protections are available for you.
The FTC has teamed up with the Department of Defense, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau‚Äôs Office of Servicemember Affairs, and Military Saves on Military Consumer ‚Äî a campaign to empower military and veteran communities with tips and tools to be informed consumers. The site provides resources¬†from more than 30 federal, state and municipal agencies, consumer advocacy and military support organizations that are committed to education about recognizing and avoiding fraud.
This broad coalition is sharing tips and information about managing money, dealing with credit and debt, building savings, protecting personal information, recognizing identity theft and avoiding fraud.¬†Share the NCPW partners‚Äô free consumer publications with friends and family, co-workers and other people in your community. By sharing information about how to avoid frauds and scams, identity theft, staying safe online, using credit wisely, managing debt, and other topics, you can help protect those you care about.
